Ladurée + Magic Jewelry

On December 30, 2016, I reunited with Ember (@embermiller), one of my closest bffs. We're sadly separated by thousands of miles (she's a CA native), so when we see each other we go all out. So here, after a short delay, is a quick recap of what we were up to! 🍰

Our first stop was at Ladurée Soho. A lot of reviewers claim that Ladurée is the next best thing to Paris, and I couldn't agree more. It's absolutely beautiful and has the prettiest pastries I've ever seen. It's really chic and aesthetically pleasing. Definitely the tea room of your rose-colored dreams!

The light, classic French food was just as incredible. I had the best omelette of my life, stuffed with tomatoes, ham, cheeses and mushrooms. Ember and I shared this rose pastry called the Saint Honoré Rose Framboise. 🌹 It had flaky pastry and chop pastry, rose confectioner's custard, raspberry compote and fresh raspberries, and- wait for it- rose water whipped cream.

For tea time, we got the Mélange Spécial Ladurée, which, to quote the menu, was a "delicate composition of black teas from China and Sri Lanka and rose petals, with aromas of orange, bergamot, blackcurrant, vanilla, cinnamon and caramel."

Our next stop was Magic Jewelry in Chinatown to get our auras photographed. We were inspired by Rowan Blanchard, who has the coolest aura photo ever (her's is on the left). The woman who does the pictures gives you a reading afterwards where she explains what the colors in your aura signify. I wish I could have heard Rowan's reading and what all of the colors in her's mean!

These are Ember and I's auras (I'm on the left)! Love how they kind of match...I'm so excited to go back again sometime soon! The shop was tiny but so cool to be in because of the figurines and crystals everywhere. The women in the shop were really nice, and my reading was spooky accurate. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a little magic.

Hopefully some of these pictures inspired you...going to them definitely inspired me! Also shoutout to Ember, the best bi costal friend in the 🌍. More exciting things to come SOON!
